Redefining Funcationality

Since arriving at Pendle Hill I have gone through some large shifts in perception. A recent one that has impacted the way I view my pottery and what I make is a new definition of FUNCTIONAL. I have always considered myself a functional potter and to me that has meant I make cups, bowls, mugs, etc. I have come to realize that wall pieces or even the Dove project that I am doing and will tell you more about in a future post are functional. They just posses a different function some may be decoration while others can be healing.
